BALANCE Edutainment was started on Feb 1, 2011 by Aaron Ableman and Daveed Benjamin to bring Aaron's unpublished short story "Pachamama's Pajamas" to the world. After several months, they produced a new book that featured the little girl Pacha whose magical PJs create her dreamworld. Dre Johnson joined the team in June 2011.

In 2013, the album "Pacha's Pajamas: A Story Written By Nature Vol. I" featuring Mos Def aka Yassin Bey as the narrator, Talib Kweli as a rapping butterfly, and Cheech Marin as a magic making mushroom won the People's Choice for Best Children's Album from the Independent Music Awards.

Soon thereafter, Allah El Henson joined the the team. Allah worked with the team to produce our first animation, Do the Connected Dance.

In early 2016, Aaron Ableman left BALANCE to pursue his music career and other endeavors.

On Earth Day, April 22, 2016, New York publisher Morgan James dropped the first-of-its-kind "Pacha's Pajamas: A Story Written By Nature." The book won Silver for best Augmented Reality book in 2017 as well as the Parent's Choice Award.

Despite critical success and amazing testimonials from parents and kids for the AR book, the company had a challenge raising sufficient funds to take Pacha's story world to the next level. They were unable to raise funds for a promotional campaign for the book or a pilot of an animated series.

In late 2017, a failed crowdfunding campaign conducted by The LaunchPad Agency devastated the firm and led to its ultimate demise.

In late 2021, with the support of Bridgit.io, the PachaVerse DAO formed to bring Pacha's message that We Are ALL Connected to kids around the world through the development of a Web3 ecosystem for Pacha. The PachaVerse includes book and music NFTs, collectible NFTs, a Play-to-earn Metaverse game, virtual land, a digital nation, and a forthcoming animated series.
